Upward Thoughts
“Upward thoughts,” pramana, also means “great, filling, fulfilling, true, satisfying and nourishing beliefs, wishes, desires, perceptions and observations.” Thus this kind of movement of consciousness leads directly to positivity, to health, to expansion of consciousness, to all that is great and worthwhile in the mind.

Creative movements of consciousness are those which lead to the liberation of the seer. These thoughts improve health, happiness, and increase success in every area of human life. Liberating thoughts gently remind the forgetful self that it is the Self.

But those fortunate thoughts that arise purely and without distortion from the Source remain surcharged with energy, intelligence and bliss; they, being unflawed, never contradict each other (or the Universe) and therefore result in greater harmony, happiness and success in every area of life.

For those that have learned Ascension as taught by the Ishayas it is clear what are the upward thoughts of highest order and quality. The Ascension Attitudes are thoughts of the divine mind that lead back to the Source of all thoughts. Filling the mind with those will inevitably lead to the highest goal of human evolution, enlightenment.
It takes commitment and practice to develop a new habit for the mind. By simple choice to Ascend we can continuously direct the mind into an upward rising mode of operation. With regularity in the practice the mind settles into this new way more and more easily. It is good to remember, however, that because the downward spiraling tendencies are abundant in this world, the mind easily stops Ascending and reverts back to old ways without the use of the Ascension Attitudes. The mind drifts back to the surface, if we are not using the Ascension Attitudes.
The gift of the Ascension Attitudes is that we do not have figure out what to do with the mind or our thoughts. We do not have to evaluate the qualities of our thought streams or try to get rid of them. We can just let them be what they are without analyzing or judging them and always when we notice we are thinking something else, we can simply think another Ascension Attitude. In this way we become aware of the deeper levels of the mind and deeper levels of thinking and learn to appreciate more and more subtle aspects of life and reality.

An Invitation
I hear often a struggle in the minds of those that do not understand the reality of “more”. Much of today’s ‘new age’ practices direct one into new beliefs about living in the “NOW” and the idea that there is nothing “more” to dangle out in front of you, like the never reachable carrot.
However, this is simply a misunderstanding. One that limits the truth of what more one can have right now. Living in the “NOW” is understood by most as not being in the past, or the future, and accepting yourself and your experience as your senses tell you are right now. This is a great step forward in the evolution of humanity, however there IS more, SO much more to an experience of NOW, beyond what the 5 human senses pickup and relay to the mind. More awareness than one is experiencing right now.…more consciousness, more love, more everything. If one can open their heart and mind to this, MORE will begin to lead you into a direct experience of that.
A tool for meditation is a great start to experiencing more of everything, more of yourself. A choice for Praise, Gratitude and Love as taught in Ascension directs
one into the “more”. If you are already practicing Ascension, a choice to ask for help (the one and only thing the ego will never do), asking for guidance in finding out if you are practicing correctly, fully, without self-created illusions that may distort your practice, is key to expanding what you “think” you may already have into the MORE of what you can experience if you so choose.
As one evolves, the ego evolves along with the soul. It picks up images of truth and mimics them as “copies” of what is understood to be higher good, higher truth. In its attempt to maintain control, the ego will go so far as to mimic itself enlightened, and acknowledge its limited understanding of consciousness as wisdom. This is often what fools one into believing they have a greater experience of life and there is no “more”, when in truth it is still just as temporary as life itself. It will fade as the energy of life fades when one is not tapped into its eternal source. Just like running a vehicle with limited fuel, it eventually runs out and quits. So too, does life run out eventually when running on illusions, no matter how grand they are. If life is NOT fueled in the REALITY of direct connection with the Source it too will fade away. So, enjoyment is pleasurable, and when it’s gone not so pleasurable. But a direct living experience of being ‘plugged’ into the Source of everything…..LOVE that never disappears, Energy that never runs out, Knowledge that has its foundation in infinite wisdom…..creates an eternity of life force.
If you are an Ascender, and have practiced for any length of time, this is an invitation to you to further your practice now. The depth of this Teaching, and what it has to offer, is barely touched on by the majority yet. Many do not even REALIZE how powerfully transformative this Practice is when properly guided, and used. Many have yet to realize this, and that many have yet to teach
It is always possible to think, even if we are surrounded by noise. Awareness of sound is a thought. Ascension is a special form of thinking. In the midst of the greatest outer turmoil we can still think; therefore we can easily decide for the Ascension Attitude.
No matter what the circumstance or experience, we can always Ascend!
This process is simple and natural as long as we are effortless with it.

There is a force or current in creation that is constantly moving upward and expanding. The word for this energy in Sanskrit is sattwa, which essentially means the aspect of Natural Law which is responsible for purity and creativity. This force in the Judeo Christian culture is known as the Holy Spirit. It is also sometimes called the Om.
As one chooses more and more intelligently for the upward current of evolution, impurities of thought, belief and habit naturally fall away, along with their corresponding stresses in the body and nervous system. As the body and nervous system become less and less stressed, the entire structure of the physical machinery rises to a state of perfection.
Nature pushes continually for life in accord with the upward current; when an individual reverses self-destructive tendencies and adopts the Divine current of Ascending life instead, the whole structure of creation reverberates with bliss and enthusiasm. Superabundance of satisfaction and fulfillment rush through the soul; life transforms at once to full realization.
The practice of Ascension utilizes this natural force through attitudes of Praise, Gratitude, Love and Compassion. The result is that life immediately begins to move into alignment with the Highest Force for Good in the Universe. Ascension therefore is effortless, completely natural and universal.
