The Teacher of the Ancients
We are used to exploring and studying the world around us. It is the natural drive in the humans to expand into new territories and frontiers. Our conditioned belief is that this is the only way, that this is the only direction. Mastery of the universe is attempted at the surface level through surface level means.
There is another way. What most are lacking is the movement of the mind that is directed inwards. This movement takes us beyond the perceptions and beliefs of the surface mind. We can reconnect with the Source of all knowledge and also where the true mastery exists, the mastery of our own consciousness, the mastery of our universe as it is created from the Source.
True Teachings of this Earth all speak of the One Source. The Teachers all point back to the simplicity of experiencing Reality as it unfolds from our own hearts. This is a reintroduction of the natural functioning of our minds and our bodies as vehicles for the consciousness to experience itself.
The Ishayas’ Ascension is a way of returning to that simplicity in this modern time, to live life from consciousness of the Source relating to the Source, instead of moving into greater diversity and complexity of only looking at the surface of things and placing value on them. This again is not something new. The Teacher is the Ascendant, it is the consciousness that is immutable and forever the same. This is what has moved through the Teachers of ancient times as well as the Teachers that are now present here in this time.

Pada I Sutra 26, Enlightement
Not limited by time,
the Ascendant was also the Teacher of the Ancients.
All true instruction in the Ascendant has always come from the Ascendant. The Ascendant reveals Itself to Itself by Itself. This sutra also says that the Ancient Teachers of enlightenment also spoke from the Ascendant. Any teaching that does not have as its basis constant contact with the Ascendant will not last long for it
has no connection to the Source of all knowledge. Without a root in the permanent, omniscient, timeless, Infinite Ascendant, any teaching will be of little permanent value to humanity; it will wither and die before very long. But a Teaching that is rooted in the Ascendant has timelessness at its deepest root and therefore endures.
Indeed, there is in fact only one Teaching, appearing over and over at different times and places and languages in the world. Just as there is only one Ascendant, just so there is only one completely direct, automatic and natural path to the Ascendant; there is only one Teaching. Regardless of how very different all True Teachings appear on the surface; they unite in their common Source and Goal – in the Unbounded Awareness of the Ascendant.

Great secrets
Krishna then says, “I taught these same eternal truths to Surya (the Sun God), Arjuna. He passed them on to his son Manu, the very earliest man, and he to his son Ikshvaku, who was the first king, so that he could better handle his worldly duties.
“Handed down in this way through the ages, eminent sages learned these great secrets. But through time, the right type of people became scarce and the practice of this knowledge dwindled. I use the word secrets not because these truths are hidden but because so few people are prepared to hear them today. I’m giving these truths to you now, Arjuna, because I love you and you are worthy to receive this grace.”
“And know also, Arjuna, that as the Divinity in all creatures and all of nature, I am birthless and deathless. And yet, from time to time I manifest myself in worldly form and live what seems an earthly life. I may appear human but that is only My maya (power of illusion), because in truth I am beyond humankind; I just consort with nature, which is Mine.
“Whenever goodness and dharma (right action) weaken and evil grows stronger, I make Myself a body. I do this to uplift and transform society, reestablish the balance of goodness over wickedness, explain the sublime plan and purpose of life, and serve as the model for others to follow. I come age after age in times of spiritual and moral crisis for this purpose.
“Strange? Yes. It is difficult for most people to comprehend that the Supreme Divinity is actually moving about in human form. But for those few who dare to learn the secret that it is I, Divinity, who is the Operator within them, their own Self. My coming in human form is a rare opportunity to free themselves from the erroneous belief that they are their bodies.
“Thus freed from this delusion these special ones seek refuge in Me, the Atma. They become absorbed in Me, always thinking and remembering the Divinity within themselves. Purified of their selfishness, fear, and anger by the fire of this great knowledge, they as many before them, reach the Supreme goal. For all intents and purposes these special ones become one with Me. This is absolutely true; give up any doubts.

Age-old Yoga
The custodians of the ancient tradition of Vedic wisdom act as the guardians of the main trunk, from which different branches have spring from time to time in the form of different religions, faiths, philosophies, and cultures in different parts of the world…..The holy tradition of great masters, which is responsible for reviving the teaching after every lapse, has captured the minds and hearts of lovers of Truth in every age. It is not merely held in high regard, but has come to be actually worshipped by seekers of Truth and knowers of Reality. A verse recording the names of the greatest and most highly revered masters has not only inspired seekers, but has been a joy even to the fulfilled hearts of realized souls passing through the long corridor of time.

‘Age-old Yoga’ indicates that the teaching has withstood the test of time, and that it cannot but prove useful. The Lord is not trying out any new method; He is only restoring the old tradition. Such has been the declaration of all the great masters from time immemorial; they never claimed that their teaching was new, but rather that they were bringing out the forgotten wisdom of life. They spoke only of restoration because the truth of any useful principle continues to exist in time.

The Ascendant, the Source of all knowledge, cannot be surpassed.
It is not possible to go beyond the Infinite Ascendant. If it were, it would not be the Infinite. The Ascendant is the Source of everything, all knowledge, all thought, all that exists. This is how it is possible to rewrite the internal programs that limit individual
consciousness. By experiencing the Absolute, all the previous
In Ascension we are simply adding one new thought. This is like taking a new thorn in our hand to remove all the old thorns. We pick up one new thought to replace the 100,000 thoughts we normally think throughout the day. The mind can do only one thing at a time, so if we continually introduce this one new thought, we replace all the old thoughts.

Since this is so, it becomes absurdly easy to transform life – no problem, regardless of how tenacious, can lie beyond the flawless subtlety of the Ascendant, and therefore no problem can be beyond the power of the Absolute to solve. Regardless of how deeply we dig ourselves into difficulty and trouble, still beyond that is the Supreme, awaiting only our attention to heal us. Thus is the path to freedom from our problems utterly simple, whatever the problems may be – take the awareness to the Ascendant, and there you are. All done for you, automatically.

Choice by choice
The other evening I watched a short video on Yahoo about the significant percentage of people who are over 100 years old in a small village in China. Tourism is now becoming a big industry in that little village of only 500, with people coming from all over to experience the climate and the crystal blue water, thinking that has something to do with their longevity. Hotels are being built and tours arranged bringing numerous people, who either stay for a short time or hang around much longer in hopes of getting something from the place and the people that they can take back into their own lives, and thereby make a difference.
I could not help but think about how most of humanity is still so engrossed in things outside of themselves, something that they hope will change their lives for the better in the future, and are completely missing this moment. How their awareness immediately goes out to someone or something, and thereby leaves the only place where they can find the peace and harmony and joy their hearts are yearning for.
I talked with a couple the other day who shared with me the wonderful natural energy juice and perfect water that they are taking, and so believe in it that they have become distributors for it. The molecular structure of the water is changed so that it is immediately absorbed into their muscles and blood streams, and they become more flexible and able to exercise longer and be less tired.
It all sounds so good. And then I ask the question "so what?" So what does it really matter if we become so healthy and strong and live longer, and then still die in ignorance only to be reborn again and do it over, as we have done so many times before, hopefully somewhat more consciously however.
Why not fully awaken to the SELF first? Why not permanently realize and experience the TRUTH of who we really are now? Then there are only opportunities and no longer any problems. Then there is KNOWING, and no longer any concern or worry or doubt. Then there is an eternal PEACE from within, a Peace that is solid and real and does not waiver regardless of what goes on outside.
How, you ask? By seeking first that PEACE, the Kingdom of Heaven that already lies within. By having your primary focus on the Ascendant Source Itself, and until THAT is realized then the Attitudes. Use them as tools are to be used for greater proficiency. Commit and follow through with the Practice. They will take you to the Unlimited Source of energy, to the Unbounded of all possibilities, to the Omniscience of all curiosities, to the Peace that passes all understanding. And it won't be in some far off remote place or time or experience. It will be your reality right here, right now. And, you don't have to believe any of this. You only have to do and experience IT for yourself.
It is so easy to commit to something that you really want to do and then do it; such as go to a movie that you have been hearing so much about and waiting for, to go to a favorite restaurant, to watch a special TV show, to read a book, etc.... It sounds so simple, and it is, yet we make the journey Within seem so difficult and hard and unattractive. Bummer! It is a simple choice with simple commitment and simple follow through. Make it your new lifelong habit now. Either you do or you don't. Thank God that the yearning Heart knows no reason, and will continue to bug you until you start paying attention. Up until then it can be dramatic and painful, or at best a long way around the barn, so to speak. Make a choice and then just do. It is your life. Whether you like it or not, believe it or not, you already have it just as you have created it. Accept it, and if you don't like it then move forward to what you do want instead. Choice by choice, moment by moment. The Ishayas are here to guide you to what it is that your Heart already knows, and longs for you to unite with. It is the Ascendant, the Teacher of the Ancients and of you here right now.
