The Purity of the Teaching

The truth itself can’t be diluted or even twisted. The Ascendant One is always pure and untouched by the movements of the world. It is always beyond the three Gunas, the three fundamental forces, that make up creation as we experience it. The Ascendant One has always been the same and will always be the same and every tradition of enlightenment has its foundation in the same never changing Reality. There really is only one Tradition of enlightenment because the Truth is Eternal and Universal.
There have been many teachings on earth brought in by enlightened masters to remind and guide humanity back to the truth of the Ascendant One. As many times as the truth has been revealed the lesser consciousness have not been able to fully grasp the essence of it and in time have developed their own interpretations and ideas around the original teaching. And gradually the effectiveness and
power is diminished and in some cases entirely lost. The pathway to the heart of the Ascendant is again obscured and the worldly distractions take most of humanity’s attention.
Ascension has been given to us as a direct and effective path to return to the awareness of the Source Reality. This Teaching has been kept out of the lime light for at least two thousand years Christ being the last one who openly taught Ascension. It was preserved for all that time by the Ishayas for the reason that humanity was not ready for it at the time of Christ. Now the time has come and the Teaching is spreading out into the world again through a good number of teachers of Ascension.
Even in the short time that Ascension has been around this time it is easy to see, however, that adding to the Teaching or leaving components out, or otherwise making it “better” has already started happening. Also in my own personal practice I have had to clean house and return to the utmost
simplicity of the practice after finding that certain distortions had settled in. This is where guidance is invaluable because we can’t always see the subtle distortions in our own mind even with something as simple as Ascension.
Ascension is a tool to continually refine of our own consciousness. The subtleties of our own mind can be tricky sometimes. This is why the simplicity of Ascension is such a wonderful gift and one that each individual practicing Ascension should always return to. This is why hearing the First Sphere even after many years might just be the best thing you can do. Or to ask help from teachers in refining your practice further.
The more simple you are, the less there is any trying involved – that is when transformation truly steps in, into that void of not trying to do something else.

The Fever of Freedom

It will also bring the deeper awareness of the closed eyed Ascending practice more into your daily life binding the two aspects of this practice seamlessly together.
As you use any of the first four attitudes eyes open, or all four of them, which ever way you prefer, the stress of normal life will not accumulate as readily. You are more able to live in Praise, Gratitude and Love and experience directly how that changes your day and the quality of your interactions.
As always the regular use of the Ascension Attitudes is the key to establish ourselves in the state of Being, in the Ascending current of life.

The traditions have to be kept, the parents have to be obeyed by the children. The general tendency in the free world is just to disobey and run away and suffer thereby. By the time you gain experience after forty years, the main part of life is gone in suffering. It is miserable. No, something has to be done by the wise people of the society so that the tradition is maintained, so that children are allowed to gain from experience of their parents, that obedience is the proper culture for eternal freedom. Freedom is good, but freedom for him who knows what life is, freedom for him who knows what he is going to be in the future. Not knowing this little bit, not knowing how to swim, he just jumps in freedom into the water and gets drowned. All freedom to man, but freedom is useful when we know what life is, when we know what past is, what present is, when we know how to go about things, not that every man should be left to experiment by himself. The Purity of the Ishayas' Ascension
MSI brought forth to the modern world a very simple tool to use in paving a straight path to the goal of human life on this planet, namely, full human consciousness. This can be described in many different ways. I like this example - to accomplish the maximum in the world and at the same time live a life of eternal freedom in permanent contact with, and life directed by, Divine Consciousness.
I will admit to you, there are many paths that will get you to that point. Very few of these paths will achieve it in THIS lifetime. As one who achieved full human consciousness in a lifetime, MSI handed down a Simple Teaching with very simple guidelines.
These techniques are not some invention from some recent person’s mind. These techniques have served throughout history. From the beginning of humanity, a long Lineage of Masters served mankind by holding Pure Consciousness in human form on this planet. It is they who have safeguarded the simplicity of this Teaching.
The Ascendant is the tap root of our Lineage and the Teaching. The Ascendant is the Root of all Being. This Root is what links the Teaching to the Ishayas and the Ascended Masters.
Every time we use an Ascension Attitude it takes us back to the Root or Source. MSI said, “By touching the Source, the energy contained in the Ascendant automatically moves to purify the nervous system. Said another way, the perfect orderliness contained in the Absolute disallows the continuance of any disorder.” By bringing all experiences back to a common point of reference, the Absolute Ascendant, we integrate all fragments back to the whole. Fortunately, with the Source of All Truth, this need not take long.
Using the tool of Ascension with commitment and innocence can drive you most of the way to the goal. MSI said, “Ascension works when we are innocent with it but if we add to it or change it at all, the positive effects will decrease. There can be no value in distorting Ascension.”
Without guidance, one can easily fool themselves. MSI said, “Without proper guidance, any technique will be likely to fail, for there will be no feedback to verify whether or not the aspirant is using the technique correctly.” To fully stabilize higher states of consciousness, guidance of a fully Realized Teacher is required.
Only with feedback from a fully Realized Teacher can one ascertain if they are being fooled by their own ego.
MSI said, “Correctly practiced, Ascension leads to full human consciousness in the shortest possible amount of time. Incorrectly practiced, it is no longer reliable. That is an extremely unfortunate loss.”
The power of these techniques alone is amazing. There are those that feel they need to embellish it. But, MSI said, “Ascension gives you what you need. There are no 'Do's and Don'ts' in Ascension, but if we are interested in maximum evolution in the shortest possible amount of time, it is in our best interest to focus our energy. The natural effortlessness of Ascension is a good signpost that this technique is all that is required.”

The Vedic Truth
The Vedas reveal the unchanging Unity of life which underlies the evident multiplicity of creation, for Reality is both manifest and unmanifest, and That alone is. ‘I am That, thou art That and all this is That’, is the truth; and that is the kernel of the Vedic teaching, which rishis extol as teaching ‘worthy of hearing, contemplating and realizing’.
The truth of the vedic wisdom is by its very nature independent of time and can therefore never be lost. When , however, man’s vision becomes one-sided and he is caught by the binding influence of the phenomenal world to the exclusion of the absolute phase of Reality, when he is thus confined within the ever-changing phases of existence, his life loses stability and he begins to suffer. When suffering grows, the invincible force of nature moves to set man’s vision right and establish a way of life which will again fulfill the high purpose of his existence. The long history of the world records many such periods in which the ideal pattern of life is first forgotten and then restored to man.

An Ascender’s Experience
I've always felt a little odd, like I didn't fit in. I guess I've looked at life a bit differently. I was raised in a conservative family and attended 12 years of Catholic schools. My mom and sister always said I had "kooky" ideas.
I never understood why a new acquaintance would ask what I do. That's not who I am. However, I always played the game and talked about my occupation.
Why do people fear hell and say everyone who is not a member of their religion will go there? I could never conceive of a God who would do that.
Why do we have to follow traditions and customs that no longer make sense? Why do we emphasize our differences? My country is better than yours. My color is better than yours. My religion is better than yours. My neighborhood is better than yours. My team is better than yours. Why don't we emphasize what is the same about us?
Most of my life (60 years) I have wondered about these things and why I was different. I've read many "new age" books and attended a few workshops. I have slowly developed my own beliefs. God is good. We create our own reality. We are capable of wondrous things. A new age of enlightenment is coming and we need to prepare. We are all connected. Thoughts are real.
I never heard of the Ishayas’ Ascension. I picked up a newsletter and saw the article and signed up. I don't know why. I attended the First Sphere and found people who believe what I believe and told me how to attain it! They weren't weird. They were beautiful, loving people. I felt like I came home. I am happy (most of the time). What a gift, what a wondrous gift.

The Pure Teaching
There are many teaching out in the world but not many pure.
I learned many techniques but with this Teaching of Ascension it is different because it is perfectly pure and is given from an enlightened Teacher to the student, from one enlivened heart to another without any change or distortion.
In this pure teaching, you don’t have to believe in it only practice this teaching - the Art of Ascension and then you will know.
Only the pure teaching is enlivening your heart, because it comes from there and only that activates your Spirit.
The Spirit ( the Ascendant) never left us anyway, it is waiting patiently for us until we wake up!

The Ishaya Foundation
Take most any kind of teaching, any kind of religion, any kind of belief, and you will find that over time it becomes a bit distorted or changed from its original way. In some cases that subtle “bit” can become grossly altered. This happens because the ego mind always thinks something can be done better, can be improved upon, or simple greed takes over and the desire to control rears its ugly head saying it has to be such and such a way instead.
The Ishaya Foundation has a direct lineage that goes back for thousands of years. MSI, Maharishi Sadasiva Isham, who reintroduced The Teaching of the Ancient Art of Ascension back into the world some 16 years ago, is of that lineage. MSI passed this Teaching on to his students in its pure form before he departed. Already in this short time since, there are those who have added to it or altered it or diluted it in some way. Whatever their reasoning or thinking may be, it is their reasoning or thinking from the surface level of their minds, or the ego.
The purity of the Art of Ascension begins with a trained and qualified teacher instructing an individual, or a group of individuals, in a private setting. This usually takes place during a weekend format starting on Friday evening and then all day Saturday and all day Sunday. The Attitudes are shared with the participants in a particular way and ample time is provided to experience them. Information is then passed on about the mechanics of Ascension, how it works and what is happening, plus other pertinent information regarding the Teaching. Nothing else is taught other than the four Attitudes based on Praise, Gratitude, Love and Compassion. The Compassion, or Cognition, Technique is required to be given individually in a separate room with a ceremony of Thanksgiving. Later on then, when the student is ready, Advanced Attitudes can be given individually, and only in person by and at the discretion of a qualified teacher.
This Teaching is effective because it comes from the highest degree of enlightenment. It is quite ancient and has stood the test of time. The Ishayas have preserved it undistorted for nearly two thousand years. It needs no alteration, no adding to, and certainly no being a part of something else in the grab bag of spiritual new age practices. It stands on its own. It is simple and yet powerfully effective. Correctly practiced it will lead to full human consciousness in the shortest amount of time. “Words cannot describe how important regular Ascension is. It is the universal key to the door of everything.”
The Attitudes are pure and absolute statements of Truth that automatically take you into the Divine Presence within each time you think one. With eyes closed it is a meditation type of practice that expands consciousness and automatically releases stress. With eyes open during your daily living in the world, the Practice prevents stress from coming into your nervous system. You become the Attitudes and start living them “in communion with God” continuously, or “Praying without ceasing.” MSI said that it is wise to be intelligent about our own Self-development. ”If Ascension is improving the quality of our lives, it is safe to assume that it is working in our best interest. Any other kind of thinking divides the mind, slows down freedom from stress and inhibits the growth of our consciousness.”
Be wise, stay pure, practice regularly and your consciousness will expand beyond the limitations of the ego-thinking way of living. You will become a Christ, a Buddha, an Enlightened or Anointed one. The choice to commit is yours. What awaits you is your life flowing in the river of Bliss and Joy from the unlimited potential of the Divine Source within. Go for it with all your heart and mind and soul and the result of enlightenment will not be far away.

The Importance of Purity
There is a beautiful opportunity presented with Ascension. The Ishayas offer us a practice which works on all levels of being. Ascension not only works with the mind, but also the body, the emotions and our consciousness. It is a very powerful teaching. It is very ancient, and yet very simple.
The Ascendant itself is an infinite field of potential. All of creation could not exist with out it. It is the Source of all life; the very thing that keeps our hearts beating and lungs breathing. Without this infinite intelligence there would be no thing created. But to the mind, which is used to the constant sensory stimulation we have created in our modern society, this still field can seem like a boring lifeless log. How could it have any power when all it does is sit there? This is the perception of the ego. It peers through the door into the Ascendant and says "That thing? That can't be it!"
It takes and active choice on our part to bring the Ascendant forward into our lives. When we choose to participate in our choice to Ascend we open ourselves to many great and wonderful possibilities. However, if one only sits back and waits for the Ascendant to do all the work then it may seem that perhaps Ascension is not all its cracked up to be, perhaps there are other things I can add to my practice to help speed up this process. The ego gets bored with the infinite silence and stillness of the Ascendant, and will go looking for something more pleasing to the senses. This is like throwing away a winning lottery ticket because you won't cash it in to get the money.
With commitment to the practice and guidance it is not hard to reach full enlightenment though Ascension, and it is not necessary to add other techniques to do this. As I said before Ascension is a very ancient practice. It has been preserved and cultivated for millennium. It is not an invention from the surface of some recent persons mind. The Ishayas have guarded the teaching of enlightenment in order to maintain its purity, for in its purity lies its greatest power.
The ego with all its enlightened concepts will certainly think its sees cracks in the power of Ascension and will seek to find better or more improved ways to get there.¯ This choice to distort the practice, either from Ascenders or even teachers of Ascension, is simply the result of not having fully committed to the practice. When one commits to anything then the universe quickly responds to fulfill the desire.
Never does fulfillment come through half-hearted effort, or sitting back to see what happens. The saying in the bible "seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all else shall be added unto you"¯ is absolute truth. Commit first then you will be shown. Sit back and wait for proof and you will miss the show. For even if the Truth is shown to you the filter of your own skepticism and doubt will prevent you from seeing it. Indeed this is the case of every person in the waking state. Because they are caught in the boundaries and beliefs in separation they miss heaven here on Earth dancing all around them in every moment.
This is the importance of maintaining the purity of this teaching. This is why it is important to use the techniques as they were taught to you, because when practiced incorrectly Ascension is no longer reliable. It would be a tragedy to miss the beautiful and awesome power of this teaching. It is an incredible gift we have been given by the Ishayas.

The Apple Seed
Before I learned to ascend, I saw a picture of a seed taken by Kirilian photography. In this apple seed was a perfect representation of the tree that the seed would become when it was planted. This astounded me and changed my view of life. There was an actual tree pictured inside that seed. The absolute Purity of this amazed me. The conception expanded so rapidly in me that this Purity became a permanent part of me. I expanded and became more conscious of the Divine Presence inside all things, especially inside me.
I had not realized it until just now but this simple event, and the expansion that came from it, directed resulted in my contact with the Ishaya Monks and learning to ascend shortly thereafter. Because I wanted more of that expansion, the universe opened the door for me to find a tool that would lead to permanent expansion of consciousness—Ascension.
This is the way Purity works. The means gather around Sattva (Purity), is the way the Enlightenment Book puts this. It’s not some mystical or magical thing that creates this but a real process of expansion that occurs naturally and can be chosen for. The purity and innocence in you is directly connected to the Ascendant. We are already connected. We always have been, we always will be . This Universal Reality is yours every time you think an Ascension attitude.
