The Ishaya Foundation Forum: Vision
From its conception, the Forum and its Library of topics and articles has always been a source for anything "Ishaya" or "Ascension" to be discussed and/or contemplated.
In the process of growth and understanding there is both the expansion of the intellect as well as the expansion of experience which relates to the One Ascendant, and the Ascendant Self within the individual personality and its experience. No two people are exactly the same when it comes to experiences and the perception of growth and so there is no single idea or experience that one can box themselves into, as the path of growth into higher states of consciousness reveals itself.
Ascension means to "rise above"... but what is it that we rise above and what does that mean to the individual in their growth and understanding of the personal reality? It means that as one evolves one rises above the limitations and ideals of previous limited perceptions, to realize greater truths than those that are relative to changing beliefs, or isolation in beliefs that keep one suffering in separation from the world around them.
How does one define change or even recognize whether change is happening in one's life that is for the better; or shall I say "for expanding beyond the limitations of previous beliefs"? How do we know our experience is not just an alternate or changed belief system bringing different experiences of the same limitations of the ego?
The answer would be in bouncing your ideas and experiences off of others who are on a similar path.
In the Upanishads there is a formula for enlightenment. It involves three things beyond commitment, focus and desire, and they are:
1. An effective tool to take the mind beyond the habitual patterns of thought and recognition at the level of the ego.
2. The study of enlightened knowledge.
3. Reflection of thought and experience in the direct interaction of those with similar interests with the experience of those who have traversed the path of self-realization with the knowledge of spirit and ego.
In the desire and discipline of each individual we have different levels of focus and commitment. With the Ascension Attitudes we have #1, the tools. With the programs offered by the Ishayas we have methods to incorporate ourselves in #2 and #3. But when you are not attending an Ishaya hosted event you can find yourself with

the option to study both the information of the Ishayas as well as get personal feedback thru the Forum offered by the Ishayas.
If you wish to join us you are welcome to participate.
Obviously at the level of personal opinion there are going to be different ideas and thoughts about experiences, but this is what challenges our beliefs so that we can step back a bit and open ourselves to the experience of alternate realities in experience and comprehension of personal growth.

What I Really Like About the Forum
The Forum is a good tool to ask questions if you want to know more about Ascension. I learned Ascension in 2003. After I had practiced it for a while then I wanted to find out more about it and some questions came up. So, I started to search on the internet and I discovered the site "The Ishaya Tradition" (now The Ishaya Foundation), which had a forum where you can talk about the teaching. I asked many questions and we talked a lot about Ascension. What I really liked was that most of the teachers are very experienced and know what they are talking about.
I will always remember asking one teacher whether I am doing the practice right. At that time I always doubted if I Ascended correctly. Most of the teachers were saying that you cannot do Ascension wrong. However, the founder MSI wrote in his book that two things are really important. First, to Ascend regularly and do it correctly and second is guidance. Well about that last one this forum is a good opportunity to receive guidance. She described very well how to Ascend and added some other advice with it. I printed the answer out and I still read it very often when the moments of doubt come up.
I myself am not a person who is born with the use of the English language. I learned it a bit at school and for the rest it is trying to make myself clear with "hands and feet" so they say. So when I write on the Forum, I have to be aware if what I write is understandable and that it sounds as I wanted it to sound. The people reading may not "hear" how I say it. The same goes for getting an answer. Do I understand it correctly? I might have to ask again.
It goes not only for me but I think for everyone who is writing on the forum. You are writing not talking!!! You might not always be understood as you would expect, but don't let that hold you from asking questions.
It’s important to ask questions. You will get answers that will guide you to know the Ascendant One.
I never give up doing that, whatever it takes.
Henk.

There is Something for Everyone
The Ishaya Foundation’s “Forum” is a delightful interactive space for any and all to join and be an active part of. As an Ascender, I have been posting and perusing this Forum for just under three years now. The camaraderie felt, knowledge given, and heartfelt uplifting results of this question/answer space are too numerous to count. Whether you are just starting, or have been involved in Ascending for years, there is something here for everyone.
Student to Student, Teacher to Teacher, Teacher to Student, all of these interactive relationships unfold naturally in this space. During the times when my life is busy and I have no interaction with “like minded” persons who are practicing the Art of Ascension, I can turn to the Forum to ask a question or simply share what is happening in my experience as I practice to expand. Often another person’s question or conversation is the answer I have been searching for.
Take the time to join in, peruse the past blogs to find a wide-range of topics and interchanges between Students and Teachers, read the articles posted in the Library of this Forum. I can assure you there is something for everyone here. “Consciousness” permeates this Forum in ways that are unsurpassed.

It is Like a Window That I Open
I am so thankful for having the site available. It is an extended hand, a welcome mat, and a diving board for me. The forum is; a place for sharing, a place for discussion, a place to jump into with or without desires/fears. This is what makes the forum awesome. It represents the practice of Ascension itself. There are no do's and don’ts, and expression is encouraged. I have the opportunity to give and receive feedback; throughout this whole process there is something that I have been involved in, an in-and-out movement of sharing and giving and receiving and learning.
To me, the Ishaya Foundation forum is more than just a place to blog, it is like a window that I open and close by participating

A great way to refine your practice of Ascension is to bring your experiences of it to a place that offers reflection and guidance. One question can open a wealth of valuable insight. A shared experience can redirect the flow of discussion into something that enlivens YOUR heart and further propels YOUR expansion. The Ishaya Foundation Forum is such a place.

on it. When a window is opened a breeze can come through and freshen up the air, moving it along, more pure and breathable than before.

Library: The Other Part
The Forum is divided into two parts. One leads to General Discussion and provides an avenue for interaction with other people. The other part is the Library, which is a collection of articles by different authors. These are articles that touch the key points of the intellectual understanding of expanding consciousness.
One could study them and bring the insights or possible questions onto the discussion on the Forum. In that way both together could serve as a platform for gaining deeper understanding and finding further reflection on the truths that are expressed in the articles.
Or perhaps you would like to just read and immerse yourself in the knowledge of Truth.
Whatever you choose to do during your visit is up to you. The Library is there for everybody just as any library in the world is, like a well that one can drink from as deeply as one desires.

When I Found the Library I was Thrilled
I loved it when I discovered the Forum. I get a lot out of the discussions and posts that are shared there, but when I found the Library I was thrilled. There are so many articles there from sources I would never have found on my own, or are simply not in print anywhere that I know of, like perfect hidden jewels just waiting for me.
You know, it’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day, to get sucked into the mundane and forget there is more sometimes. So I really appreciate having the Library to go to from time to time for new inspiration. It helps me keep going with my practice, and helps drive my desire to grow. Thank you for creating it!

So Refreshing to Check Out This Site
I visited this site today by recommendation of a friend.. It's a library with articles that have been posted for the past several years... I found one that was written in 2005, that I really like. How much have you heard lately, 'what you focus on grows'... To be honest, I had never looked at it this way. Do you focus much on who you truly are? And how would you know who you are? How would you know it’s not just a myriad of all the thoughts, feelings, ideas, beliefs you've picked up throughout your life? Who are we really? This article talks about settling into who you truly are, beyond all the thoughts and worries... and just 'be' in the moment. What does this mean to, just be?
I think about how comfortable I am with my relationships with my family and friends. I've known them all for years, and it’s just become something that's 'known' to me… But, have I really embarked on a relationship with the Self, the part of myself that is beyond all thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc.? This article talks about this, and leaves me realizing how much more there is available to us in everyday life.
I sit here in my academic world… watching everyone run ramped, racing to the next big 'Discovery' that they can put out into the world… Another idea to bombard others with... they do this all with the desire to bring self-recognition; recognition for their career, and to make their Name more known to the world. So much emphasis on this... doesn't leave much room for something else. What they focus on, is definitely what grows. I wonder if any of them have any awareness or even desire to come to know a greater part of themselves, beyond the material world of their intellectual ideals.
That's why it was so refreshing to check out this site my friend sent. This quote summed it up for me; "Self Mastery is an art that has been recognized and sought out throughout the history of Humanity by those that recognize the difference in Love that is not limited by conditions and the love that is limited by conditions created from fear and beliefs."
